The extrusion process for aluminum profiles involves pushing heated aluminum alloy material through a die to form a profile with a specific cross-sectional shape. Molds can have complex or simple shapes, depending on the desired profile. The aluminum alloy is heated to a temperature that makes it pliable, and then loaded into an extrusion machine. Aluminum has a strong affinity for oxygen, so a thin layer of oxide forms on the surface of the metal. This layer acts as a protective barrier, preventing further oxidation and corrosion of the metal. To enhance the protective properties of the oxide layer, a process called anodizing can be used. This involves controlled oxidation of the aluminum surface, creating a thicker, more durable oxide layer that provides better protection against corrosion and wear.

The charged powder particles are attracted to grounded metal surfaces where they adhere and melt into a smooth, uniform coating. The coated profile is then heated in an oven, allowing the powder to cure and bond to the metal, creating a hard, durable and long-lasting finish.
